Spiders have always scared humans’ in spite of their small size. We all know that there exist a variety of spiders. Some spiders help in removing few insects of our house, whereas some spiders are harmful; while the rest do not cause much harm. In both the cases, people get scared by spiders, if they are found anywhere in their sight. The look of it or the spider bite raises fears in the minds of human. Even the presence of their cobwebs does not give a pleasant and beautiful look to our houses. Pest control sprays apart from a huge number of methods are used to get rid of spiders from the individual homes. Some of these techniques used have a bad effect on the normal living of humans, so natural methods for spider pest control has been developed that should be practiced to avoid all side effects of the strong chemicals.

If you are ready to spend an amount is controlling, then you can hire a professional for spider pest control. You have even other effective methods, which can help you in controlling the spiders. One method, which you can use to get rid of spider, is to use a glue to attract the spiders towards it. Many become unsuccessful with this method, as they do not know what really attracts the insects. Spider trap products are available in the market, which is also a better option to get rid of the spiders. This product uses a glue having aromas, which are liked by the spider and they fall into a trap. This glue traps are not so big, as it is very easy to install this behind the furniture and behind your closet.

The first method, which we are discussing here, is to prevent spiders from making our homes their habitat (or new home). It would involve the use of spider trap products, such as ‘Glue’. This glue has special ingredients and is prepared specially by peanut butter; molasses etc, which the spider can’t resist and they get trapped in it. Glue being small in its size is easy to install and remove. They can be placed in all corners of the house thereby proving to be effective and cheap. Glue, being a natural product of Spider Pest Control, causes no harm to the surroundings or the pets present in the house. They are also easily removed by just brushing them off and thereby spiders are removed.

There are various ways to control spider pest control, but amongst them glue is one of the best. It causes no harms to the pets and to our surrounding environments in the home. It is easy to remove it up, as it can be removed just by brushing them off and thus, it easily spiders were detached.

Plants like eucalyptus trees can also help us in Spider Pest Control. These trees have powerful odor that prevents the entry of spiders. Applying solution of ammonia on the windows can also help you in getting rid of spiders. Even pets play an important part in the removal of spiders.

Bringing Eucalyptus tree at your home can serve, as one of the measures for spider pest control. The smell from these trees keeps the spider away from the home. Use of ammonia at home with certain precaution can also be used for keeping the spiders away. These ammonia and ammonia products, when applied on window panes, their pungent smell keeps the spiders away. Having a pet at home is also helpful in keeping away the spiders. If you have a cat at your home, then they can easily catch the spiders.

Now, we can see some of the natural spider repellant substances, which can be used for spider pest control. Chestnut is wonderful repellant of spiders. Similarly if we mix Peppermint and Lavender, brew it with pennyroyal/some orange oil and use it as a spray, then it will serve as an excellent spider repellant. Ultrasonic insect repellant can also be used in this regard.

We can finally conclude that a number of spider pest control methods are available today in the market. So, getting rid of spiders from our houses without using any harmful and dangerous chemicals is now possible. Though spiders can be removed easily by applying any one of the above methods, we should also use prevention to avoid further entry of these creepy creatures into our habitat. Preventions are attained by just a few simple steps of cleaning that would benefit us in a number of ways along with a house free from unwanted guest, like spiders and insects.

Often time spider bites go undetected, but it is very important to know if you have been bitten by a spider and to remedy the situation as fast as possible. Though very few spiders cause serious harm to humans, those of a venomous nature can cause severe damage and death in some cases. The trouble is many times the victim is not aware of being bitten by a spider, by taking pictures of spider bites, medical experts can more readily identify if this was the case.

Many times the victim of a bite did not see the actual spider and may mistake the spider bite for a mosquito bite. Spider bites are characterized by two puncture marks, whereas mosquitoes will only produce one. Having pictures of spider bites would be the first step in diagnosing which type of spider is the culprit. Some spiders are harmful to humans while others are not. Treatment is contingent upon which spider has done the biting.

The black widow spider is the most dangerous to humans. Its venom can kill a human and medical treatment at a hospital is needed immediately after noticing the bite. If you are not sure if you have been bitten by a black widow, you can view pictures of spider bites on the internet. The telltale sign of a black widow bite is a red circle around the puncture.

The Brown recluse spider is a pretty dangerous spider. Pictures of spider bites produced on the internet are not pretty in pink at all. The spider will puncture human skin with wound marks.

The Brown recluse spider venom releases a kind of digestive fluid which is toxic to humans. The area around the bite becomes pink to dark red resulting from inflammation. The wound site is pretty visible because a lesion filled with dark fluid appears. However, the pictures of spider bites of this variety, is not sufficient to actually see the puncture marks; that must be done with a microscope. The skin tissue around the bite will begin to die and it takes months before any healing effectively occurs.

The hobo spider will produce a venomous bite similar in appearance to mosquitoes and the brown spider. The area surrounding the bite will become red and inflamed and the wound will eventually harden and scab over.

Though both these spiders rarely result in death of the afflicted human, pictures of spider bites where the skin has already rotted away is not a pretty sight. The open black wound is very deep and ghastly looking. Looking at pictures of spider bites is not for the faint of heart.

Bed bugs are known by several names: red bug, crimson ramblers, wall louse, mahogany flat and more. One upon a time the bed bug population in large cities had disappeared, or so we thought. Now they are back again. They live in mattresses all over the city in private homes, missions and shelters, big hotels – where there is a bed there can be a bug.

Bedbugs are tiny broad and flat creatures which grow in size after a feeding. They are brown in color and do not have wings, but after a bed bug bites it will change to a reddish brown color showing up the blood that they have just feasted upon. Nymphs which are the stage of bed bug just before adulthood are a yellowish white color.

In the past insecticides such as DDT was commonly used to rid the infected bed from bed bugs, now this product is not as widely used. Another way in which the bed bug population is once again striving is by traveling on clothing and in suit cases. The people of today travel much more than they did in the past. They are leaving their neighborhoods, cities and even countries and taking these pests along for the ride. These little creatures multiply fast, they lay as much as 200 eggs over the course of their adult life. The eggs are hidden in woodwork and hatch in about a week. Bed bugs are remarkably strong creatures and have been known to live over a year without a blood meal.

Nevertheless bedbugs are pests. Bed bug bites are not usually detected immediately because the victim is fast asleep. Actually only one type of bedbug will feed on human blood, the others feed on animals. Bed bugs are attracted to the heat given off by the human body as they twist and turn while sleeping at night. Bed bugs inject saliva into their victim which causes a mild allergic reaction. The symptoms of bed bug bites include: swelling itchy welts and redness. They may also leave blood marks on bedding, and black and brown spots in the woodwork or on the mattresses and bedding. On occasion, people may have a more severe allergy to bed bug bites but that does not happen often. Bed bug bites are more irritating than harmful. In the case of severe anaphylaxis reactions; respiratory problems, heart palpitations, dizziness, vomiting, and joint and muscle weakness, consult a doctor immediately.

Bed bugs will hide everywhere and are very hard to get rid of without professional services of an exterminator.

However you can help by thoroughly washing all clothing and surfaces, vacuuming and disposing of the dirt bag, covering mattresses with a plastic covering, removing and any cloth under the box spring. If you are lucky enough to find them trapped in metal devices, you can coat their legs with a petroleum jelly and double sided carpet tape to stop them from moving. You can spray with chemical insecticides but be very cautious, the chemicals are caustic. Follow directions at all times.

The good news is that brown recluse spider bites are not terribly common. The bad news is that when these creepy crawlers do bite, medical attention is generally advised. Brown recluse spider bites can cause serious problems, so immediate first aid and medical review of the bite is likely in order.

Found primarily in the Midwest and Southeastern United States, brown recluse spiders are known for their distinct violin pattern on their cephalothorax. Brown recluse spider bites are not generally easy to spot – at first. The initial bite is generally quite painless. At the most, it will feel like a bee sting. Within a few hours, however, the real symptoms of brown recluse spider bites appear.

In most cases, brown recluse spider bites tend to become rather painful. Victims might feel pain, itching, nausea, fever and even start vomiting. After the initial bite, the bitten area will appear red and will likely have fang marks. Eventually, brown recluse spider bites will blister and may even lead to necrosis of the skin.

Initial first aid for brown recluse spider bites involves very basic steps. Ice may be applied to lessen swelling. The area should be washed with cool water and soap and elevated. Strenuous activity should be avoided. It is not smart to apply heat to an area where brown recluse spider bites have taken place. Also, creams should not be applied and suction should not be used to remove the venom. The best bet if brown recluse spider bites are suspected is to seek medical attention immediately.

Because brown recluse spider bites can cause serious complications in some people, medical attention is always advised. Although brown recluse spiders do have a nasty reputation, fatality is usually not a concern, but it is not out of the question. In some cases, these bites can leave incredibly nasty reminders behind. Due to concerns about secondary infections, it is not uncommon for these bites to involve hospitalization as part of the treatment. Antibiotics are also normally prescribed to ward off infection. If necrosis of the bite area does present, plastic surgeons may be called in on the case to help.

Brown recluse spider bites are rather uncommon outside of the spiders’ main territory. Only a few cases have been reported in states outside the Midwest and Southeast. If a brown recluse bite is suspected, immediate first aid and professional medical attention is strongly urged, however. Bites can cause serious complications with the affected skin and may lead to secondary infections that can be quite dangerous. While these bites are not very common, immediate action should be taken if brown recluse spider bites are suspected.

Chiggers are microscopic insects which lead some people to believe that they enter the skin – they do not.

Insect repellants containing DEET and tick repellant containing permythrine are effective ways to ward off Chiggers before they bite.

Keeping lawns mowed and removing weeds will also keep the chigger populations down.

Taking a bath of shower after being exposed to lawns and woodsy areas where chiggers congregate will lessen the chances of carry chiggers on your body.

Chigger bites are common in tight places on the body; they will bite under bras, tight underwear, socks, inside shoes, under arm pits and in the genital area. Wearing loose clothing keeps down the chances of chigger bites.

If you apply a nail varnish to the infected area, it will prevent air from entering the site. Exposure to air makes chigger bites itchy.

Benadryl will relief the itching. Antihistamine topical creams such as hydrocortisone with Aloe or Caladryl will also relieve itching. Not only will the creams stop the itching but they will prevent infection from setting in.

However, if the itching continues after several weeks, it is time to seek medical attention. Chigger bites sometimes require medical care.

Strangely enough fire ants are a member of the wasp and bee family. Their scientific name is hymenoptera. They are vicious and will attack anyone or anything they feel is a threat to their colony. .

South American Bullet ants have the most painful of all ant bites and insects in general. These ant bites are not considered life threatening.

Jack Jumper ant bites of Australia have the potential to kill their prey, humans included.

There are two types of fire ants, which are harmful packing a burning fire -like sting

Red Imported Red Fire Ants (Solenopsis invicta) is the most aggressive of the two varieties. These ants have a venom pouch containing piperidine alkaloids. The sting from these ant bites are painful, and produce white fluid filled bumps on the skin.

Southern Fire Ants (Solenopsis xyloni) The sting from these ant bites this are not as painful but still causes the same itchiness and blisters.

Ants are used in many parts of the world to control other insect populations. But the carpenter ant, pharaoh ant, and argentine ants, are under government order to be controlled or completely eradicated as the case may be.

Some home remedies for controlling ants and ant bites

The first thing is to ant proof your home, seal up all cracks and crevices and areas where they can get into your home.

You will also want to keep your lawns and shrubbery moved or trimmed.

Ants dislike mint and will stay away from it, therefore plant mint all around the outside of your home.

Treat your window and doorsteps with citronella, peppermint, cinnamon, citrus, or lavender solutions of one teaspoon to one quart of water.

Diatomaceous earth (DE) is a non toxic powder that can be spread on window ledges etc to keep out the nasty pests. This product destroys the exoskeleton. Nevertheless, still wear a mask when using this product so to prevent respiratory problems.

You can pour boiling water on the ant hill but this method is risky, the ants will come after you in droves and attack viciously, still you may not get the queen and the colony will persist. This means the risk of ant bites could persist. To read more articles like this visit :
