The next step will be thorough scrubbing and vacuuming. To get rid of bedbugs, you must begin with scrubbing every surface with a stiff toothbrush. This will dislodge the bedbugs and the eggs.
Then vacuum thoroughly. After vacuuming, put the vacuum bag in a sealed plastic bag. Then seal all cracks and holes.
For infested clothes and bed linens, wash these in hot water. This kills bedbugs.
You must use a pesticide for the walls, mattress, carpets, furnitures, and others. Make sure that you buy one that is for bedbugs. Remember to read the product label and instructions very well. Every pesticide has a specific way of applying it. You must also be very careful not to ingest the pesticide because this is poisonous. Apply the pesticide properly. Some brands also need to be vacuumed after application.
The last step would be using a mattress cover for bedbugs. Sealing your mattress inside a plastic cover ensures that no bedbug goes inside and outside the mattress. Whatever bedbug is left in the mattress will die in 6 to 12 months because they wont be able to eat.
In order to be very sure that you got rid of the bedbugs for good, you must check your house regularly for bedbug infestation.
